My name is Sarah Abellera and I am a second year student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. As a student in a broad field, I am working towards developing different skills such as software engineering, and I am doing so through different co-op opportunities. In this co-op term I am a software developer intern at Local View Tech, mainly working on frontend functionality. Already by being here and working I have been able to see different uses of React, such as routing, role based authentication, and more. I am hoping to learn a lot in React, especially hooks and how to use them, since they are very useful and convenient. I am also open to learning new things that I haven’t thought of or discovered yet to improve my skills and knowledge for the future.
